THURSDAY NIGHT SPECIAL

Thursday Night Special is a free weekly series that celebrates cinema and fosters greater access, connection, and opportunity in the cinematic arts at UC San Diego.

Free and open to the UC San Diego community and beyond, the series brings people together to experience films, conversations, and other cinematic programming in a welcoming, casual environment.

Throughout the academic year, programs are curated and hosted by the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts or the Triton Film Society, UC San Diego's student organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of film. Center-curated programs may include film screenings, filmmaker and faculty conversations, special presentations, and other cinematic events. Triton Film Society programs feature films selected and presented by its members, creating opportunities for students to share their interests and engage the campus community through cinema.
