Location and Facilities

The Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts is a university program, rather than a standalone building. The Center's primary venue is the Suraj Israni Center Screening Room, located in Auditorium #113 of the Mosaic Building, where it hosts screenings, lectures, workshops, and other public programs.

Event Venue

The Center's name and namesake imagery are prominently displayed at its primary event venue, Auditorium #113 in the Mosaic Building, which is commonly known as the Suraj Israni Center Screening Room. Located adjacent to Jeannie Hall within Sixth College in UC San Diego's North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood, the Screening Room serves as the primary home for the Center's screenings, lectures, workshops, and special events.

During the academic day, Auditorium #113 functions as a university classroom. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the weekend, the Suraj Israni Center has exclusive scheduling and use privileges, allowing it to host public programming and special events in the space.

VENUE USAGE

The Suraj Israni Center Screening Room (Mosaic Building Auditorium #113) serves as a reservable space via the T-RES system for events and programming related to film, media, animation or cinematic arts.
