November 2024

• Staff fellow Lev Kalman, developed the program for the shorts segmant "Sweet Fantasy BB" (Nov. 9, 2024) at the San Diego Asian Film Festival.

• Staff fellow Luciana Marcos Laberge is behind the planning of the "Otherwise Film Festival" (Nov. 13-16, 2024) foregrounding marginalized voices and their unique cinematic narratives.

• Staff fellow Lev Kalman presents his new film release "Dream Team" (Nov. 15 - 21, 2024) at Metrograph (NYC) and Alamo Drafthouse (LA + Austin), while showcasing his other film work in a series called "Retro-Futurism: The Films of Lev Kalman & Whitney Horn."
  

• Undergrad fellow James DeLisio screens his short documentary “Smoke Signals,” at the Digital Gym Cinema as part of San Diego Film Week on November 17th, at 5:00pm.

• Congrats to faculty fellow, Todd Henry, for winning the grand prize in the documentary category at this year’s Korean Urban Film Festival, for his film “Paradise,” (read film backstory here).
