In the fall and spring of each academic year, current UC San Diego students, faculty, and staff are invited to apply for a fellowship opportunity providing access to filming equipment or funding.

Request Film Equipment

The Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts provides access to select audio visual equipment in support of creative cinematic endeavors. Submit a request to borrow up to five items at a time, including professional cameras, lenses and sound equipment.

Celebrating Fellows

The Center was thrilled to showcase the creative work of 13 student, faculty, staff and alumni fellows at the inaugural Fellowship Forum on Oct. 12, 2024. Through a series of mini screenings and panel discussions, the event highlighted the diverse artistic visions among our unique community of creators.

2023 Inaugural Fellow Cohort

The UC San Diego Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts announced the recipients of their inaugural production and research fellowships, awarding a total of $20,000 to 10 filmmakers from the entire UC San Diego community: faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, staff and alumni.
